Cumberland Mountain Farm Wildlife
Observation & Bird Watching

Cumberland Mountain Farm is located in a conservation easement. Wildlife has always been plentiful. Recently there has been some extensive habitat enhancement to increase the wildlife density further. Pastures have been reseeded with native warm season grasses to enhance wildlife habitat.

When there is no hunting on the farm, wildlife observation is available for a daily fee of $50 per person. There are three observation towers located on wildlife trails and rich birding areas.

Eastern Tennessee's native wildlife species can be viewed and or studied. Bird watchers will enjoy a variety of songbirds that are easily seen. Raptors, including eagles, are present.

Quail, grouse, woodcock, and wild turkey are not as easily seen but are present in good numbers.

Waterfowl are present on farm ponds during the migratory season. Bear have been seen and coyotes and predatory cats are present but more difficult to spot.
